Your Technology Advisor, Not Just Your IT Guy
Erik founded Ask Erik Computer Services in 2006 in Seal Beach, California, and brought the practice to Eugene, Oregon in 2017. For nearly two decades, he's been the person local business owners call when they want straight answers about technology.
The short version
With over 40 years in business, I bring a perspective most IT companies simply don't have. I'm a Microsoft Partner and AI-certified IT professional — but before any of that, I spent decades running and advising businesses, which shapes every technology recommendation I make.
As Past President of the Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce, I worked alongside business owners across dozens of industries. That experience gave me a deep understanding of operations, systems, processes, and outcomes — and how to align technology strategy with where a company is actually trying to go.
I'm also a Founding Board Member of the Seal Beach Police Foundation, an active member of the Eugene business community, and a mentor to local entrepreneurs. Community isn't a marketing bullet point for me — it's how I've operated for four decades.
In Eugene, I'm a BNI Hall of Fame member. My clients are business owners who want a long-term technology partner who understands their business, not a break/fix vendor who disappears between disasters.
The way I work
I document everything. I explain in plain English. I return calls. I plan ahead instead of reacting to fires. If something breaks, I tell you why it broke and what we're doing so it doesn't happen again.
Who I work with
Established local businesses with 10–75 users who value professional IT, take cybersecurity seriously, and want a long-term partner — not the cheapest option in the room.
My commitment
When you call, I pick up. When something changes, I tell you before it's a problem. When you need a technology decision, I give you a real recommendation — not a list of options and a shrug.
Giving back to the Eugene community.
